The agency
Every translation is proofread and revised before delivery. Our procedures follow the requirements of ISO 17100, without certification by an external body. AFTraduction is a member of the CNET, the French national chamber of translation companies. You know the price before you order: sworn translation of a standard document in English or Arabic (up to 250 words) starts at €35 per page, VAT included.
Our translators and interpreters are native speakers. Each translator works into their mother tongue, and each project goes to a specialist in the field: law, medicine, finance or engineering. The network includes more than 800 linguists, over 150 of them sworn before French courts of appeal. It covers nearly 200 languages and dialects, including unwritten spoken languages.
All our staff and outside linguists sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before they see any document. Our website and our management system are hosted on servers in France, in line with the GDPR. Every connection is encrypted.
Your quotes, projects and invoices are gathered in one online client area. You can sign a quote, follow each project as it moves forward and pay your invoices online. Access is personal and protected by your own login and password. The data stays hosted in France.

A sworn translation is an official translation made by an expert translator sworn before a French court of appeal. The translator signs it, stamps it and certifies that it is faithful to the original document. AFTraduction provides sworn translations in 75 languages.
Sworn translationYes, in France. Our sworn translations are recognised by French authorities: prefectures, OFII, ANTS, town halls and courts. Abroad, an apostille or legalisation may be required; check with the body that will receive your file.
For sworn translation, we work in 75 languages. Across all our services, our network covers nearly 200 languages and dialects. Online, 13 languages can be ordered directly, always paired with French; the others are quoted on request.
Our languagesA sworn translation is signed by an expert translator sworn before a French court of appeal: it has official value. An agency-certified translation carries the agency’s stamp and the signature of a specialised professional translator, who is not sworn. Semi-official, it suits internal or unofficial uses.
Certified translationFrom €35 incl. VAT per page, for a standard document of up to 250 words (birth certificate, driving licence…) in English or Arabic. The other languages available online cost €42 to €58 incl. VAT per page, at the same price into and out of French. Anything else is quoted on request.
Order onlineAllow 24 to 72 hours on average, and up to 5 working days depending on volume. With the express option, the translation is delivered within 24 to 48 hours, or even the same day depending on the language.
In about 2 hours on average, for all our services. Quotes are free. Our service is open 24/7.
Request a quoteOn our website: choose the document and the language, upload your file (PDF, JPG or PNG), then pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. A scan or a clear photo is enough.
Order onlineYou always receive the signed translation as a PDF by email. The stamped paper copy can be posted as an option, for €10 incl. VAT in mainland France (international postage on request). You can also collect it from our office in Montreuil.
